I picked this coin up and while looking at I saw this planchet issues on the reverse. Not sure what to call it that why I am posting it. Could be nothing just found it odd never seen it before. Look at pluribus. Any and all help is appreciated.Tracy

I know it had to have to happen before the die strike so it would be a planchet flaw. I looked in Alan Herbert's Mint Errors book and found nothing. It is nice find. Thank you. Tracy

Looks to be a strong tilted die clash. Look below Abes bust for remnants of the reverse letters clashed there.
I'll have to keep an eye out for this one. My earliest is a 1916

Do not see the clash on my coin but the reverse looks promising. I took some pictures from my scope.

After the clash the obverse die might have been changed out.
Here is a 1955-S example where this was done.
