Did anyone order the U.S. Air Force 2.5 Ounce Silver Medal yesterday? Max mintage 10k w/ HHL (currently) 1. It is still available as of this AM for $160. I like the look of it but at that price I don't think I like it that much.

I had some interest in these, but the price really pushed me away.

I'm saving that money for the 2-coin ASE set later this year.

Not worth it IMO. If you read the product description, there will be a re-release next year with the exact same medal, but in a 1oz piece instead of a 2.5oz. That'll be much cheaper and I'll wait for that.

Hopefully silver will come back down by then. Even if it does not, it is a better option for me.

I do like the 2.5 ounce Liberty medal I bought in 2019, but I always thought of that as a one-off. I am not looking to start a collection of 2.5 ounce medals, but will consider things that interest me... at the right price.

I feel like this is something I would be able to find at my LCS in the next couple of years for way below retail. I do like the idea of displaying the 2.5-ounce next to the 1-ounce, but, eh. Like jbuck said, gotta be the right price.

I bought one yesterday. I plan on getting all 5. I'm guessing they are making one for the space force.

I would be upset if they did not do one for Space Force. Why make four when you can do five for 25% more.

I'm among those that will be waiting for the one-ounce versions coming next year.

Per the Mint, the five medals in the program will honor the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy. No mention of the Space Force.
