Pre-1982 Lincoln Penny (Major Errors)

I3lackMage New Member United States 14 Posts	Posted 07/24/2021 5:50 pm So... What I have is a Lincoln Penny that is pretty interesting, but... Also a bit of a mystery. If you take a look, it's really hard to make out any details. Being that I couldn't see a year, I decided to weigh it and it came up to 2.90 grams. So, I'm going to guess that it's pre-1982. What I am really curious about is if this is a minting error, of if this looks like damage that came later. And, if it is an error, what would it be classified as. Report this Post to the Staff

NOT a minting error, just post mint damage ( PMD). Almost not identifiable as a US cent, Abe's outline is the only thing that saves it. Report this Post to the Staff
