So my mother in law, is going to be showing me her dad's coins from a safety deposit box he kept them in that she inherited, she is in her late 60s so I'm not sure what to expect but I told her I'd look and take some pics and ask here. I have no idea what to expect so this is a heads up. I will in the near future probably post alot of pictures of these coins after researching and self grading. I'm not sure how they are being stored, or the years, or if they are all if any Canadian coins. It's a treat for me an DB she knows nothing about coins in general. So a heads up and a thanks in advance to everyone on here for your support, knowledge, criticism even:) it's been such a fun time learning and seeing things so this is a new step for me personally:) And a special thanks to the coincommunity moderators and staff for always being quick on the draw for issues and still staying part of the community.

Hopefully, he collected gold coins. My mother-in-law showed me the hoard of silver dollars her husband collected. They were all Ikes! That's the luck I get.

You can hope that he was a real collector, with high grades of all the dates.

Either way they will be coins older then what I normally looks at:p I'm guessing coins 60-130 years old ish that have been out of circulation for a long time or never circulated, I imagine it will be Canadian currency but who knows. He thought his collection or specific coins were valuable enough to put them in a safety deposit box where they have sat probably 30-40 years so I'm excited lol:)

so she is taking the coins out today, I'm not sure when I'll get a chance to look at them, I'm my fiance brings them home then mayb before the weekend. If not this weekend I'll have a bunch of coins I'll be posting for grading and opinion. Hopefully they are stored properly. Who knows maybe I'll find a 1947-48 dollar BU. That be a crazy find. What are the most key dates for old silver dollars?
