As I always say, they are out there. Just found this one in a bag of mixed memorial cents. Superb coin with eye appealing rose toning in top condition. I bought a lot of coins this summer to go through, and gonna be fun to see what else shows up, but this one will be tough to beat.

Wow! That is truly a beautiful coin. A coin with that kind of eye appeal should definitely be considered for third-party grading.

Later die state, but the real deal without a doubt. How die wear affects the edges of the fields:

Thanks for all the kind words!!! And certainly a winner when the Frog can see it. There are so many of these graded that even in this condition I'm not sure it's worth it, but I just might do it as a slab would really show off all that color. My photos do not really show how much rose toning there is. I expect it would go MS67.

Congrats!

Beautiful DDO in real nice condition.

*Not that easy to find in circulation even though it is a more
common DDO.*

Very nice, a beauty! It's amazing how many of these are on the market but how little are found in circulation. So many people saved these when they first came out, but it's a good thing that it gives us all a chance to own such a nice example of a big DDO. Yours is exceptional!
