I found this LC searching about 3 years ago and have been wondering what is going on between the building and the trees. Finally decided to post it and gets some thoughts from others. It looks like an extra tree but probably a die crack or something. I am almost positive it is not a linear plating bubble because I have rubbed it with a toothpick on several occasions. Looking for opinions on what might have caused it.

Thanks for the input. I was thinking a fairly large die crack as well.

Not hiding John, just haven't been finding anything worth posting.
Good errors and varieties are getting harder to come by in the wild. (At least for me)

I have had a run of projects other people are relying upon me for. Three big ones in the glass insulator hobby trying to get the team to organize a new database I call Project Red Book from some other obsessive hobby of mine having book of similar title!
Project Red Book will bring to the glass insulator hobby the ability to collect insulators like we do coins. It is to be a record of each insulator type/kinds MM...in this case Mold Mark instead of Mint Mark. Mold marks are the number (or letter) the mold making the pice had to ID the mold it came from.

As always, red tape is in the way at present.

Two other in depth insulator research projects I am tied up in as well right now. One is opening up a new vein of research into varieties somewhat similar to numismatic variety classifications.

The other is setting up a research help site for insulator collectors b/c there is little info out there as to tools and techniques.

Its not my site, the NIA (National Insulator Association) asked me if I would supply the info and help to others.

Then...I was made an admin at Daniel Malone's coin website. So I need to stop in there each day like I WANT to have the time to do here (and miss it!). Just not enough hours in the day.

All the amazing info I learned here on this website over the years is helping others over there now as well. I refer to CCF and some CCF family members are over there as well.

Other than the above (and also researching and writing two other insulator guide book)...not much LOL!
