This 1943 Lincoln Error Penny has much going on. All I do know is that it weighs 3.11 grams.

Comments appreciated.

Tried 2 days just to get something uploaded that I could post. I see that I am too dumb to do this. Sorry for the inconvenience. But I will keep trying until I get it right.

The bust is backwards? Most likely a copper plated 1943 fake.

@rosie, yes it can be a little tricky to post pics at first. See below for cropped, enlarged, and enhanced versions of what you have posted so far. Everything looks backwards though--is this an artifact of the file manipulation or does the coin look like this in hand?

Looks like the photos are simply flipped (reversed). Eager to see new images--large and sharp. From what I can see of the date, there appears to be significant post-strike damage.

Thank you. I have taken better photos. Just need to get them uploaded and displayed properly which so far has been a problem for me.

I am totally baffled as to why the images are backwards. In-hand images on my end are normal. Apparently, I am doing something wrong. I will keep trying until I get it right.

My apologies to the coin community.

I have some interesting coins that I would like the community to see.

This sounds more like a software/computer problem than anything you are doing wrong.

If you know how, flip them backwards on your computer, reload, and let the glitch make them correct for you.

Thank you. I have spent quite a lot of time on this website and reading the tutorials which are pretty clear, but I am going to take a break from this for a few hours. Will get back later in trying to post the new pictures.

Think you may be right about my software/computer.

Will read tutorials again.

It looks like a mirror image of the coin, maybe someone made a mould of a coin and then tried to make a fake with the moulded image causing it to all be backwards lol.

Someone may have used a blank planchet and squeezed Two Cents against it, leaving the mirror image (without date) both sides of the victim planchet. Trying to create a fake cent, trying to claim it was a 1943 copper cent. Just an altered planchet.

It is not like this in hand he says. It seems to be the pics not the coin.

That would be weird for any picture to cause the entire image to mirror on both sides(unless taking a picture through a mirror) I am not sure how any photo can mirror like that.

I feel like I am getting close to posting the new photos. How do post these? They are currently under uploaded images that I think are ready to post. Do I post in full reply? When I get the full reply box and try to post, it puts in the description but not the image.
