I have a 1982 D Quarter with an un-milled edge and I was wondering if it's worth anything. I know nothing about coins so any help is appreciated. One guy told me it was a counterfeit from China.

I received it in change from the local BOA before it closed, seems weird they didn't catch it.

The average person pays little to no attention to change.

The design details are off--I agree it is counterfeit.

Soooo many details, including the date and eagle, are way off. Good eye to both of you for catching it. Would be curious about what it weighs, if you have a scale.

Well, I think that this is the official Treasury position on what to do:

https://www.treasury.gov/about/orga...suspect.aspx

Added: although I see that it seems slanted toward counterfeit bills, the link for counterfeit coins takes you to these same directions.

Keep it...that's a nice metal disc

Secret Service wont care, I had a neighbor that worked for them and showed him a fake five (willing to turn it over), long story short, they only care about larger bills 50s and 100s.
