The angles of the light and the shadows cast does make it appear incuse. Struck through is as a good possibility as any.

HumblePie, I am asking, Can you clearly see it's incused. The pictures are Great, I just wanted to ask You, Because I think I see an apparent oil drip on the case or coin ? Thanks...... PS, Love your Bands Music !!!!!  |

Yes, I would say it is incused. The darker part at the top is a little deeper than the rest. I can see how it looks like oil/glue, because of the color, which I think it seems darker than it really is because of shadowing. The obverse photo and all close-ups were taken out of capsule, the reverse photo I just left it in the capsule.

I keep coming back to this coin and I have a theory about what may have happened based on the images. How about a drop of oil on the planchet that created the groove when struck?
