That looks like a strike through error from the pic more than a hit to me.

Collectors of modern US Mint products are either gamblers, innocents or speculators who assume they will actually receive what they've ordered. Experience will suggest otherwise for many of you.

I'm not trying to pile on @chop, but rather just show a better close-up of that defect on her cheek. I'm not sure that it is damage... Is it safe to assume that there is no flattening of any features on the rev?

@Spence - If not damage, then what? Surely this is damaged in one way or another. Surely this not what the mint intended.

Wow! I haven't looked at all of mine that closely but this seems to be the worst one I've seen online. I looked at mine without my glasses (I would have seen an issue this big) but it looks like it is time to get the magnifying glass out. I was waiting to look at them closer when I received all of the. Still waiting on the Peace dollar and Morgan "P".

Talk about Deceptive views, It appears to me to be of a Seriously Damaged Obverse, Exactly in the prime view of the coin. Again, I am sorry Chopped Triumphs. I re-Read the previous comments, John1 I Agree, to get their att, do what it takes !!!!! !!!! Jimbucks is correct though, " They really just don't care. " I really believe the Mint needs to slow down and get on course with Quality and Fulfillment center troubles, In a Timely Reasonable Manner. I collect many coins from the Mint for a long time and While the Hunt is a thrill of the moment for Me, the hobby has been taking hits with the Quality of products being Very Noticeably Terrible. They were NOT Always this poor way. It's really BAD Now, more than usual. I agree leave the message and walk away to get their attention, Things could hopefully get better ...... This idea would need Many Standing Together .........

Quote: Why? This will not accomplish anything. They really just don't care. It would, they make a product and no one buys it for one or two years. They will be forced to improve their products or stop selling inferior item and loose all profits on said products. Just my humble opinion. John1

Here's the reverse. Thanks everyone! I can't send it back because they would want the entire order, not just the one coin. It looks like just a little flattening on the top of eagles left wing?

I understand US Mint policy not accepting partial returns, like one coin from a set. But it should accept return of one coin from an order of several coins. If you have to return the entire order, that sucks.
Could be struck through or defective planchet.

You can return one coin or more. I just did that with a damaged D.
Go to your order summary on their website and make a return for the number of coins you're sending back on that order number.
They even pay shipping as I got a return label from them to print out for the return.
As a side note, I had to try the online return over three times as it kept coming up with an error and to call customer service... which was a joke. Waited half an hour only to get disconnected.
