Here's another recent acquisition. My spouse spotted this coin in a dealer case and convinced me to buy it. It does have a nice look IMO. How would you grade it?

I am tossed between MS-62 and MS-63, but I am leaning toward MS-63. Is that a strikethrough between star 11 and the hair?

Beautiful coin indeed. The obverse has a lot of chatter so I'm with the consensus at MS62/63.

MS-62,
reverse better.

Nice luster which was an obvious factor to my way of thinking, as to why you bought it.

That's lovely. Lots of luster. Gold is soft so you're going to get more contact marks than say a Morgan dollar. So I'm good with MS-63.

I would have to agree with the MS63 crowd although the reverse grades at least a full point higher than that.

I'm with the MS63 group. An attractive example.

The majority agrees with NGC: MS-63. I think it's solid for the grade but probably not an upgrade candidate. There is a significant price jump for MS-64...

i'd probably leave it as is. the chances of pulling a 64 is less than coming back at the same grade

Really nice looking eagle. I see why it came home with you! The grade looks spot on.
