What do I have here? PMD? I found two of these mostly identical. Only Posted one of them. The first photo shows the saddle behind the holster normal and the second photo is much different. Did a worn die cause this? Please let me know what you think.

How about showing a bit more of this coin? hard to get a good reference with no context of the surrounding area.

Die chip is my guess.

Coop, no its not a part of the design, the second photo is what the part of the saddle should look like. Normal has a curviness to it and the first photo it is flat where it should be curved. I have found two of these exactly the same so I don't think its a PMD issue. Could be Die Deterioration?

Looks like die polishing. Look at the other designs how they are weaker than the top example?
