I really like this coin. Wholly original and can be attributed for variety with a little research...

What say you in 2022 clan of the CCF?

I typically don't chime mid-grading but the photos I choose suck and I feel like a fool

Two points of interest:
Cartwheel luster, very lustrous

Where's the wear on the reliefs or are the mirrors mottled to a place that truly detract from the coin and cause AU grading?

Maybe I don't have the collectors eye I think I do and just collect ugly coins.

Okay, self deprecation session over

I'm going with ms63 I think the high points are just strike weakness, rims don't show circulation to me, and suspect the luster isn't broken on the high points.

Judging from pics, very light breaks in the luster at high points suggest very brief suggest AU58 at first glance, but may be lighting and some subdued luster, so I wouldn't argue MS63 based on the rest of the coin. AU58-MS63.

You have the benefit of the coin in hand, so enjoy it and don't let our opinions change that

Definitely not AU, I'll eat my socks if that was graded AU. I would put it at MS64.

It's a soft strike, from heavily clashed and polished dies. IMHO, the coin is UNC. The blotchy obverse toning suggests an eye appeal adjustment. I could see the net grade as MS-64. I don't have my guide handy today, but there are a few similarly heavily clashed 1891 dimes, with both obverse and reverse clashing. What jumped out to me is the repunched first "1" in the date. I don't think there are many varieties with both a repunched date and heavy clashing.

Nice example, and the die clashes are stunners.

MS63. My own 1891 in a similar grade has a similar very strong clash with the "E" clearly visible on the obverse.
This is a very nice coin.

it's looking like an F-110. That clash on the DIM(E) is unique to RVJ and the date parameters sure seem to match up to OB10

I would consider that to be very choice in the grade at 62. Nice pickup.
