I have two coins, a 1988 dime and a 1967 dime. The 1988 dime appears to be crushed and possibly even offcenter. I also have a 1967 dime that has a scratched surface that doesn't look man made, and it's kind of grooved. For the 1967 coin I tried to replicate the scratchings and it doesn't seem to be right. Any ideas and info will be greatly appreciated!

provided is an image of the scratching. I've tried my best to take it on my phone sorry if it's bad.

, glad you can share with us!
Both dimes are unfortunately damaged outside the mints, so we call them post mint damage, or PMD. Coins can have interesting stories after they are minted until we pick them up to study them.
An advantage of using your (touchphone?) is that there should be a photo editing feature somewhere on it that helps you crop your images to just the object being photographed along with other features.

Neither dime shown could have had that happen during the striking of the coin.
Both are PMD and worth face value.

Agree, post-strike damage on both. In the future, suggest posting only one coin per discussion thread/topic. Thanks.
