Attractive off center roughly 50% off on a date I didn't have so I picked this one up recently. Off center coins aren't a big part of my collection but some of them are just so nice-looking that I add them when I can. 1957-D Lincoln Wheat cent mint error - off center

On the reverse, you can see an disturbance above the 'US' on Pluribus. that is where the gutter that forms the rim with the help of the collar, would form the rim. But because the collar was not present, all we now see if that area of the gutter.

Another nice one, I like the off-centers where you can see the full date and Lincoln's face

Very nice example. Would love to see a significant off-center strike where woody and/or lamination issues are present.

Beautiful chocolate color on this one. It is really pleasing to look at.

Thanks folks! Yeah, it's not been cleaned but certainly a change around the devices can indicate that. For coins in the AU range it usually just means that while the coin was briefly circulating, that's the area which was protected from direct finger touching, so it gets a different toning look than the flat fields and such. I did end up putting the micrometer on it, and it comes out as 52% off center (9.1mm/19mm).

and it's a very appropriate date for a half-off-center, it marks a century since the last Half Cent was minted

@TROP. Thanks give the exact dimension. In the first I gone by photos. NOW I have and I will give you where you are with your coin.
The 55% it is 8.53 mm and the 60% it is 9.37 mm. (When the gauche will be out of the production the forum will have 100 free to distribution to members, hope they will give you one)

I can eyeball the coin and tell it is no more than 55% off center. Draw a diameter line from top center to bottom center of the planchet and its not much more than 50% off center. Am I missing something?

Sorry Zimmy, you miss the Pythagoras circle formulas and law. It is very complex calculus. The diameter it is only one of the components of the calculus. By eye do not work. PS the most simple formula it is:
