Some of the dies with the working hub doubling with this issue were doubled with each other from other normal working hubs. Quote: 1966 50¢ SMS WDDO-013 Description: A Class V CW spread from a pivot at about 5:00 shows on the LIB of LIBERTY, the front curl of hair, and the upper hair details. This variety also shows the doubling from WWHO-002. 1966 50¢ SMS WDDO-014 Description: A Class V CW spread from a pivot at about 1:00 shows on the LI of LIBERTY, IN GOD WE, and the date. This variety also shows the doubling from WWHO-001. The reassignment of numerous 1966 Kennedy half dollar obverse doubled die listings as being from the obverse doubled working hubs left huge "holes" in the obverse doubled die listings for this date. As an example, there were once 37 listings for the 1966 obverse doubled dies. Now there are just 12 working dies and the three working hubs. Many listings were assigned new numbers in order to fill the gaping holes in the listings. Notations of these changes are made for each of the affected varieties.
