naw, fairly common. during the strike, most of the metal flowed into the void of the obverse to form the lower portion of the bust, leaving not enough to fill the reverse die.

No Coop, on this one I think you are mistaken on the grease assessment. Notice how the weakness is only in the area that is directly behind the obverse lower bust area. Also notice that the top of the letters near the rim are stronger - right where the bust returns back to the field an area where the metal can form and fill the reverse die properly because the obverse has not hogged up all the metal.

What does "ear area is normal size. So it is not a double die." have to do with this topic?
