(not real strong acid though) On the strike the whole coin show weakness and the scratches seem real strong on this one. (Like acid was in the scratch areas for a longer time. If not then I agree it could be acid. If I do not have in my hand and I can not pronounce of the kind of acid. @Early42: the nitric will change the color of the coin. The surface show very clear this acid interaction.
