Mintmark looks like a D, but the damage makes it hard to know for sure.

To pixelated to tell what it is. But it Doesn't look like a mintmark to me. Distortion from the plating or zinc coating movement. (Die wear is also a factor in that direction from the mintmark)

Sorry to say, but the images are just not too good. are these a picture of a picture from your scope? The pixilation is too much to make anything out for certain. The 4 is almost obliterated by damage - and going by that, I would say that there is no MM but instead a pit or gouge from a circulation hit.
If you are able, please try to post up better pictures.
