What makes you think it is struck on a wrong PLANCHET?
is the size and weight different?
A photo of both sides of the complete coin would be helpful
but from what I can see, it is just environmental toning.
Also those are not extra letters, just circulation damage.

I think JimmyD hit it right on the head, we need to see full photos of both sides of your coin. The discolourization is from some sort of environmental damage. Letters are damaged from circulation over the years. Your photos are too dark to see more.

Jimmy ask you legit questions except forgot to ask side photo in order to determine the correct diagnosis. I see for moment just in front of the eye something. A good clean without any polishing will help more.

Weight is a big factor in determining wrong planchets. At present, it looks like a typical environmentally toned/stained coin.

Agree with Earle42. An accurate weight would tell us much. And at this point, it looks like environmental toning/staining to me.

@chao, add more pics if you want, but I'm not seeing anything that isn't best explained by damage. This one would be a spender for me.
