Hello, I have had this cent in my blue coin folder since the early '60's. I have recently gotten back into coin collecting. The reverse of this coin has several areas where there is either Machine Doubling or die doubling. It is present on ..RIBUS, UNIT.. OF and UNUM. I am too much of a novice to tell the difference and would greatly appreciate advice from the members of this forum. I also included the "mole" on Lincolns chin. It seemed quite prominent!! Thanks!!!

Just Machine Doubling. You can tell because the doubled regions are flat and shelf-like and reduce rather than enlarge the thickness of the affected devices.

Agreed,MD. The mole ,not sure. Coin has very nice eye appeal.Very good photos, but need to cut down on the light glare a bit. John1

The blue colored toning is from a Whitman three fold album:

Sorry I've been away. Thanks to ALL that replied. Still learning, which is fun for an old guy!!! Lincolns "mole" on this cent IS in the wrong place. It should be between his nose and lips, not below his lip. Any ideas what this mole anomaly might be? Is it significant? Crud? Thanks Again!!

Is it significant? to the forum, Edduner! Nice pics and nice toner! It would appear to just be damage, possibly misplaced metal. The coin looks to have taken a couple of hits in this area. I enlarged and marked up your pic.

Thanks for all the comments!! Question: Machine Doubling must be more common then the other coin errors; is that why it's not as valued ($$$) by coin collector's?
