Very cool looking an look forward to hearing what others say. No damage I can see to the reverse and none on the obverse rims. other than a carry over of the same thing at 7 o'clock. Maybe some sort of struck through?

@make, not sure I agree with you on this one. It looks to me like someone took a Dremel to the obverse.

I'm thinking mechanical damage. A closer-in shot of the obverse fields, taken at a slight angle might tell us more.

Whatever happened to it, it didn't happen during the
striking of the coin so it has to be PMD of some sort.

with my self agreeing with Spence (although he said 'Drexel' instead) and with Cujohn agreeing that it is a possible Dremel tool.

Yep good point @dear. That's an autocorrect error, but I'll fix it now.

This it is characteristic with the goldsmith diamond frozen surface tips. I will post here a photo of those rotative diamond frozen tips.

Good Morning everyone! Thanks for all your answes and help.

I don't know what's going on with this coin, but I can't agree with you because I was searching the internet to see what a tremel was and what a drexel was. But I don't think this Coin has gotten past that because it's in excellent condition except for what it has on the front side. Those tools are strong so if you use those tools on the coin, at least the obverse will get damage. It may be another reason for what the coin it's like that.

Regardless of how the coin was damaged, it was altered. It is not a mint error, but just a damaged coin. (Not a mint error)
