1964 D Cent Is This A Small Die Chip On The Upper Lip

A die chip is often between where the fields/design area breaks off the die, laving a void. The void is filled on the coin and shows a raised area on the coin: These are common die events and don't have a lot of interest in them (except for newbies) and are not a big thing, just a die event. Usually no premium for these. (They are not like a Cud, that is a die ending event and the amount of coins are few after this die event happens) CoopHome: What is a die Chip? Why are they die events and common? breakaway area on a die that leaves a void. when the void is filled, it will show as a raised area the shape of the void on the coins. part of the die aging process and easy to find.
