Did I hit the lotto? Found in a very very old box of antique watch parts and other odds and ends. I know very little about these coins. From what I have read, if real, they are very scarce. There are more fakes than authentic specimens. I wanted help from the experts instead of guessing around and trying to match up photos.

My coin here weighs right at 22 grams, is heavily worn, and I just don't know much else. I believe it to be silver? I have attached the best photos that I could. Any insight is welcome. Thank you all in advance.

Real or fake?

@rum, that sure looks like a cast fake to me, although I don't see either COPY or the letter R stamped. The weight is off too. Here is a link to a real one for comparison:

Yes, looks like one of the many souvenir type copies. I used to get them at museum and historic site gift shops when I was a kid.

I agree it's a souvenir copy. There's a thread on NGC forum with at least a dozen looking like this one. I think I see a seam in your scale image.

This is a heavily copied/replicated/counterfeited coin.

Thank you all for your replies. Gonna have to apologize to the boss and tell him I'll be back in Monday morning haha, didn't hit the lotto after all. Appreciate the expert opinions on this specimen.

Is the edge plain? Image of a genuine one (red circled):

Just a note; it is my understanding the planchetts were cast, trimmed and edge decorated; there is an oversized example that missed the last steps and shows a seam on the edge.
