I was going through my collection and came across this Lincoln Cent that I pulled from a bank wrapped roll a number of years ago. I believe it is was struck through heavy grease, but would welcome other opinions.

It does seem that way @dmg. Can you please confirm that the weight is in spec? Thx.

@Spence, unfortunately, I do not have a scale that measures in grams. I have one that I use for candlemaking, but that measures in increments of .10 oz.

Assuming it would weigh in spec, which I'm sure it would, would that degree of a grease strike command a premium. Or is it more of a fun find and keep it in my collection?

Nice Struck Through Grease. Check ebay sold values for an idea on value.Put it in a 2x2 holder.

Yes worth setting aside in a 2x2 until you purchase an appropriate balance. The rims are intact and it looks like Struck Through Grease, but always good to confirm that weight.

The first clue for a Struck Through Grease error, it the wider devices. The upper devices didn't for because of the Grease Fill on the die:

I would save this one. There may be a premium for it to the buyer.

to the CCF That is a nice one. Ck ebay for price. I would think it's a 10-to-20-dollar coin?

I wanted to update this thread. I did buy a gram scale and the coin weighs in at 2.48 grams. I will also post a few better pics of the coin out of the 2x2.
