Found a 2006 D nickel double die obverse and reverse. There is doubling on liberty, date, and most of the words on the reverse. Haven't been able to find any information about others being found and am unsure if it is worth getting graded. Thoughts?

@cel, first welcome to CCF. Second, rather than being a doubled die, it looks to me like you have Machine Doubling on both sides of this nickel. This type doesn't add to the numismatic value, although yours is a nice example.

I agree with Spence that it is Machine Doubling,
a worthless type of doubling.

MD
An easy way to get immediate answers as to whether you have a doubled die, RPM, or OMM. Find them all listed here:
www.varietyvista.com

Scroll down, find the e-book for the coin you are looking for and take the links.

If yours is not listed then you probably have non-collectable doubling such as Machine Doubling or Die Deterioration Doubling (search these topics on this forum and at error-ref.com).

Yes, a very nice example of Machine Doubling. Suggest keeping it as a reference piece.

Also answers a question I had about a 1969 S penny I have. Looks very similar to this nickel. Learning lots. Thank you.

to the CCF and Your cent is MD also. One thing to remember is that if you think you have a coin with doubling on both sides, you probably have neither. DD on both sides is very rare. It's MD, lighting or DDD.

Classic Machine Doubling.

Ps- please always show us both sides of your coin, the full, entire coin, not just pieces. Thanks.
