I know a lot of folks like toned coins, and a lot like woody alloy coins, but if you haven't seen a toned woody then here ya go.

Very nice-looking coin, but I am wondering if that is surface toning and not a woody?

It's a woody...with great toning. I have a few similar examples. Love 'em!

Very attractive toning and "wood grains". You take great pictures. I'd be curious about how the alloy problems appear at 30X.

Ok folks it's time for sugar coating a magnificent toned woody Lincoln .
As nick10 said '' they don't get much better then that '' . MS-66+ . Eye appeal 10/10 .

10K coin
MS-67 red
https://www.PCGS.com/cert/45838879
$500
MS-66
https://www.PCGS.com/cert/42341436
$50
Anything less than MS-66 would cost too much to be graded. Tough call on this one.

Thanks everyone! While I think 68 would be a stretch, and 67 pretty unlikely, I do plan on submitting to PCGS with trueview as surely it can at least do 66. Maybe next fall I'll get it back from them and update this thread (sorry, sarcasm, as they take so, so, so long to grade coins).

Great looking coin.

It brought to mind the infamous London fog and the way it flows across Lincoln's bust.
