What do you think the next coin will be featuring on the reverse?
What colour will it be?
Will it be a Woolies Release?
Have you got a good idea for a new design?
Might be fun to speculate ?

Yes,it should honour the 'scalpers' the Mints have created with their ridiculous coin releases.
Apparently Fair Trading,in NSW at least, are looking at the ebay monster the Mints have created.

If so it will probably have something to do with Neighbours or Home and Away.

the next - yet another numismatics' market ruining $2 - The RAM's top brass most likely had to go on an extensive overseas " fact finding mission " to Paris, London, New York, etc, and after three months of exhausting travelling, returned with an ingenious new concept for the next $2 coin series -" Water has been discovered to be wet ".

Brilliant !! they could release many more $2 coins with reverses depicting 1 bore water, 2 mineral water, 3 chlorinated water, 4 Melbourne's pristine Yarra water. Even a patients' water sample ....?

Yes, RAM, just keep pumping out more useless themed $2 coins and all you're now achieving is filling up your already over full warehouses with, yet, more unsold rubbish.

You people have an even worse problem than Canadians. At least our circulation coins have some relevance to significant events/ people in Canada. The cartoons, etc. are relegated to the NCLT which we can pretend do not count as real coins.

Why not release the 10th anniversary of the first colored coin in circulation?

There's enough time to make it happen

Its nearly 30 years since Bunnings had their first sausage sizzle. That would be about as relevant an anniversary to commemorate as any of the other junk ones the Mint has recognised. That would also create the opportunity to release another alphabet series of junk coins. Then Kmart could do it and Coles and petrol stations and .... Really the excuses for coin releases now are even worse than the Mint's release of them. What next?

My post was a joke post you know.
Sadly I think RAM will probably mint a $2 coin on at least one of those things.

Australia 225 - That was a brain fart.

I actually wish New Zealand would mint some nice coloured $2 coins are not limited release of 400 coins at $159 each + $39.99 Postage and Handling.

Odds are good, or bad, depending on your point of view.

Why celebrate something that just happens. Us Aussies take that as a given.
