Any thoughts on this Morgan being an O/CC. There just seems to be a lot going on around the O mint mark, I had to ask. Thanks for any help!

It is in a PCGS MS62 holder.

I don't see any evidence of an O/CC. Perhaps a VAM-49 based on the date and MM position?

Thanks! I will check on VAM-49.

I have a Koolertron scope camera. I bought it back in Jan 2020 and have no complaints. It was around $100 with a clip coupon ( Amazon) The camera does not connect to a computer, just a mini usb card.

I added the 6 inch extended pole to it for $15 ( Amazon)

The original setup only allows for full photos of Cent size coins. With the 6 inch pole you can take photos of Morgans with room to spare.

For close-ups I just use a box to set my coin on and take my coin up to the scope. Instead of taking the 6 inch pole off each time.

For lighting I use a lamp that I position behind the scope. Then I use 2 fill lights on each side of the coin as you see in the photo. Those fill lights are great. They have 3 levels of brightness and 3 different hues of light, usb recharge. ( Amazon)

Really great pics. and setup. The VAM 49 fits, but I'm curious about the curved areas and the polish marks in your mm pics. Something makes me wonder if this could possibly have been one of the reworked Carson dies. Are there other pups that might help. The top pic is one of HumblePie's and the bottom is 1900-O VAM-10 from VAMWorld.

I would say not an o/cc but I can see why you think it could be. I have a similar one where if you squint your eyes and use your imagination a little you can almost see part of a "c". I have wondered if die state wear has varying degrees of the over stamp.

Beautiful Pictures. Sweet Set up Too This " die " looks Very Busy. IMO, the original posted pictures could be an Earlier Stage of the Other pictures provided by Silvering's VAM 10 pictures Thanks for Sharing

I agree the photos are excellent. The mintmark position is set too far right to be a VAM-10.

Beautiful Morgan! Does it have a die gouge/scratch on the first 9? I thought I saw it on yours but when I expand it it gets blurry. If so maybe its VAM 33?

HumblePie, I know you have posted a couple of these, with similar locations. Just a thought, could it be a very light clash?

I have no clue what it could be, I was just intrigued by the possibility of an O/CC.
Whatever it may be, it does look strange. Someone mentioned "reworked dies" and that is what I kind of lean towards at this point.

Good deal! And it sure looks like something else is going on around MM to me as well.
