I am not understanding this and all of his auctions? Is he trying to bypass ebay fees and rules? Or is this some type of scam? This one auction shows up every week or other week for the past 6 months (or longer) and disappears but the BIN price keeps getting a little lower each time. Take a look at all of his auctions and all the pics, why hasn't ebay banned this account?

That guy also posts several Seated dollars that I've seen around for a long time. Cheezy scheme, not sure what he is trying to pull. I like to bid small because his description says to not bid.

I've placed bids with this seller. I have also reported his scheme to the bay, but they don't seem to care, apparently.

I'm enjoying the "Item specifics" list, which includes "Stove Type Compatibility."

I'm pretty sure the image was stolen and colorized from this https://www.ebay.com/itm/275286151889 which conveniently displays in "also viewed" right at the top of this scam listing. Even the listing title was stolen.

Nice catch kbbpll! Wow, what lengths people go to, to pump up a $900.00 coin, even on it's best grading day, couldn't fetch more than $31K. Just shows the sales/marketing technics used to try to hook uninformed buyers.

Was the coin in the original listing a legitimate branch-mint proof? If so a $39,000 price tag might actually be reasonable.

I remember an encounter at the Long Beach expo maybe 25 years ago. I was interested in an 1875-S twenty-cent piece in a dealer's case. I was shocked when he quoted a $5,000 price. He explained the high price was because this was one of the very rare branch-mint proofs of this date. Wish I'd managed to buy it then; the current Coin Facts listing shows a price of $200,000 in 62 grade.

It's gone. But the coin it was copied from in my link isn't a "branch mint proof" anyway, it's graded SP62, = specimen. Then their comparison coin for value, $937,500, is just what some unknown seller is listing another one for. Which is like saying you saw it listed on Etsy for $$$.

Those "don't bid, email us and this is the price" auctions seem to pop up a lot, I always assume it is a hacked account, because their feedback and history generally looks fine. Not sure about this one in particular though, as it has been removed.

I do not. I downloaded the coin image but not the one with the contact info. I reported the item three different ways, too bad ebay doesn't give me a history of items reported or something.

I didn't keep up with the sellers name however, I searched for item (1995 W 10th Anniversary proof set) that he was "offering" in the past, selling the same way, they are not popping up anymore. Maybe they took him down completely,.
