At my other scope and its very tough to tell... You guys were obviously correct and coins with barely readable dates are not worth it.. Not worth the hassle & straining my eyes.. This is my first and last purchase of a coin with a barely readable date unless slabbed..

I could see an argument for either a 1924 or 1923 The sharp slant could either be from the 3 or the 4.

Here are a few more comparison shots with the 1924 s quarter I got from a junkbin and this "1923". It appears similar and different at the same time..

I am seeing a 4 with this image. The sharp slant is from a 4 as the angle of the slant is closer to the 4 than a 3.

It looks more like a 4 than a 3 IMO.

I agree & am nearly certain it is a 4 in hand. luckily I was able to get a refund.

In the last photos, I did see it as more of a 3 than a 4, but maybe not worth it overall, glad you were able to get a refund.
