This was a roll out of 3 that contained a split die ender. 1st was opened, 2nd given to a friend who has passed no update as to we're that roll is. and I now have the third. It was gotten at a store in February of 2020, cool timeline of the error and when it occurred etc. it'll stay rolled in the collection, as there is 4 loose in my collection cool to have one in a roll now. Who knows could be more but that'll be for the future.

That does look like it was struck from a shattered die. Nice!

Excellent finds. Hope roll #2 resurfaces.
I may have asked this before but are you in Maine?

We are all resigned to speculate how many more like this one may be in the roll. I like that sort of frustration, especially if it is not my coin !

That is very cool! The zinc core cents are so fragile that I agree with John1 that I would try to preserve it and possibly the others that are in the roll.

Did the roll crimp-er do damage to the second coin imaged? Hope it spared the coin in the first image. Thanks, Doug.

Thanks JC for adding about these.
