Have significant interest in this coin but something seems off with the NGC holder - listing pics vs. NGC Verify. Seller has been solid so far but this would be a fairly large spend so second guessing myself. What gets me the most is NGC image shows some print ink missing on the bottom of the B in RB (Obverse) - that is not present in listing image. Maybe I'm being over analytical but with the overwhelming fraud at our front door - one can never be too careful. Any thoughts? Edited by DOCC 02/14/2023 12:22 am

Agreed to some extent. But look at the NGC pic of slab on obverse, the B is missing some ink on the bottom. That is not present in the listing photos.

Photos look OK. The hologram images fade out at certain angles so two different photos can look a little different. The coin looks beautiful. If you have confidence in the seller and can get a return privilege it should be safe to buy.

Top Pop! You're right to be cautious. But it appears to be the same coin - judging (as best I can) by the "smudges" on the left obverse field and reverse between shield and ONE. Does the seller have a return policy? Are you able to examine it in hand?

Since the question of fake holder has been implied by inuendo, I am thinking the possibility of an over graded genuine coin in a fake holder.

Yes as to return policy however a few states away so viewing not practical.
I'll keep ya posted.

What you see as print ink missing could be a speck of something white on the holder (or in the holder) that has moved. It appears to be the same coin to me also.
Red Brown Cameo is a new one on me. Do other grading companies use that designation?

Analysis of the holder and the bumps/nubs around the edges, it is the same holder, unaltered, in both pictures. Happy Shopping!

If they are not the same coin, and you can prove it, I'll pay you $5.

They look the same to me, one was shot on a white background and one was shot on a black back ground, different sensors, lighting, etc. can make the subtle difference you are seeing, I think it's fine.
