Would yous believe I have a sealed Mint box with, three, Silver 20th Ann. three piece Silver Eagle sets. This was 2006 and had the first reverse proof. The long gone and missed Hucksters were firm in their believe that that coin needed to be in a sealed box to prove it came from the set

You mean this?

It's a nice set but I wouldn't call a $250 ASE set a fortune. There are single silver eagles like the 1995 W or the 2019 S-ERP that each coin is with $$$$, those are more a fortune.

@ John,

I want the 2011 5 set one. The 2006, it's not on my list. The 2006 would have a good sell in 2007, it's way below its high raw price of ~ $600 back then

That 5 coin set is a nice big set, all the coins in it are great - 2 are burnished from the S and W mints and one is a bullion, the other 2 are proofs (one regular and one reverse proof). pretty much a full example of that the mint can produce in a year.

Nice to have but I question your idea of a fortune. Think somehow you are going to retire on $750?

An Enthusiastic Happy Collector, Best wishes, The Entire American Silver Eagle Series is an Awesome, Highly detailed Art Work, Just My Opinion.....PS, I bought Extra Sets of the 2011 ASE 25 th Anniversary Sets, at my local Coin Shop No One wanted to indulge.... at Cost Too.. Another Very Outstanding display of Five Eagles.... What was I thinking...

Sorry I haven't checked back to my first forum, very much. I gave up buying coins in 2008 and on this post, I am late. My point on these sets was not holding a fortune but a reference from back then that the sets in an original mailing box was maybe valuable. Its still unopened along with 7 mint sets in another box. They had some new coin too and I got hooked by the tv but paid Mint prices

That's a great set! I have one, got it direct from the mint when released and I'm very happy with it.

The 2011 is an excellent set as well (as mentioned). Has some of the best OGP I can recall in the past 20 years.
