I have a 1951 Roosevelt dime holder PCGS ms65fb , with a 1951-D dime enclosed. I am not sending it back for re-slabbing unless they promise a ms70fb label. Any collectors of PCGS error slabs?

Are you sure it's not one of those pesky fake slabs ?

Very possible it could be a tampered or fake slab. Did you have it certified yourself? Got Pics?

Mistake on PCGS's part. I have a PCGS 2004 Silver Eagle in a slab that says 2001. I don't know if it's worth any premium, I was told not. Who knows

You can't call it "common," but it's far from the first I've heard of. PCGS seems to have a proclivity for not getting mint marks right.

That's what is called a mechanical error. The clerk typing in the information from the invoice to the computer when the coins arrived typed the mintmark in wrong.

Exactly...it's not the wrong coin in the slab, just a typo on the label. No biggie, I've seen dozens of such cases.

I have an NGC Morgan MS63 dollar that was labeled 1899 but the coin is 1899-O. BIG difference in price. Just a typo.

Its a $20 dollar dime no tampering would be worth that amount, a typo but a collectors idem for me.

I'd like a "1916-D" error slab for my MS-63 1916-S Mercury dime...
