Hello.
I came across this penny & I know it's damaged but does this look like it has an extra collar? Letters in liberty sometimes looked doubled & is it normal the letters & the "1956" are different sizes? What ya think?

So far it looks like a regular Lincoln Cent.
Nothing out of the ordinary.

@1st, when you say extra "collar", are you referring to Abe's bow tie or the ring around the periphery of the coin? Thx for clarifying.

Looks like a die chip extending from bottom of bow tie up to beard.

Sorry guys. I didn't add the reverse side because it looked normal. It was late & not thinking. Lol. I'm adding it now. There's definitely something underneath his beard that looks like an extra or doubled collar.

While it may not add value, I like the die chip. 2x2 keeper!

The bottom of the '6' is showing working hub damage, thus the missing area on the bottom of that digit. This die created several varieties, but the broken hub issue, is not a die variety, but just a working hub issue that created that die. There are DDO / DDR/RPMs from this broken hub issues, but just a marker for these dies, not part of the variety.
