I have two of this type coin in 2X2 holders marked DDO so I spent the afternoon going through the various sites on the internet. Variety Vista has a very good listing and shows it as 1937 S WDDO-001, II-C-VI. The key marker is the eye lid doubled . The last photo shows a "line" that sort of looks like a die chip ?..I hope I got this right and I hope I've learmed something from all the time my wife lets me spend on CCF. Thanks for your opinion and have a great weekend.. Jim

Very nice!
Yes this appears to be die #1. You did reference Variety vista but used the numbering system that Wexler uses.
The lines on the reverse are Feeder Finger Damage to the reverse die.
All in all a good eye for a nice doubled die.
Congratulations!

Opppsss. Sorry about using Wexler attribution. I had a pile of notes and used the wrong one. Thanks for the answer about the Feeder Finger Damage.

J,

You are correct with the WDDO-001 from Wexler. Never forgot that Wexler it is more accurate than VV. VV start with the database from Wexler somewhere in 80's when Wexler sold the database to CONECA.

what you has it is another stage of the Dies. |Simple that this. Nice coin and nice variety and also Congrat to see.

Thanks to all... Yes, it is a very nice cent . The second one that I have has some carbon spots on it, but still nice.
