The odd shiny spot on the reverse is likely damage (or perhaps a lack of damage, such as what happens when something like a long-standing, protective drop of dried glue is removed from the surface of a coin). coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 04/23/2023 4:41 pm Machine Doubling on AMERICA. DDD is not possible on 1972 cents. The DDD are seen more on the zinc cents. The Date area looks like on the Master Die doubling examples. The Other devices showing this is on these other areas: If it is oh these other devices, this is a common die issue that affected 50% of the cents that year. So there is no premium for this.
