The GOLD version is technically a coin as it has a denominated value of 100$. The SILVER version is technically a medal as it is not denominated.

There are several differences between a coin and medal beside the lack of denomination on a medal. The medal will also lack "In God We Trust". I believe also "E Pluribus Unum" is required on a coin. Unsure if the reeded edge is required, I know the 2023 medal does not but the coin does, however a cent also does not and some of the modern dollar coins also do not.
Also the orientation of the obverse is different between a coin and medal, I think that is by law, coin is oriented up/down, the medal is left/right.

Barryg, Jbuck,

I appreciate You Both posting These Medals/Coin.

I see these as if a Spotlight was shown upon the Tree and Eagle. They Look Life-Like, in that they look Real.....

The GOLD Looks AWESOME Too......

Love the medal. The coin should be here tomorrow it sounds like.
Love the added detail of the COA where the tree image is more like a photo than a drawing.

Yes, indeed. My reference to not usually buying medals was only in regard to the silver and not the gold.

Very nice medals! Thanks for posting images!

It's nice to see folks get excited about something other than a "coin."
