This penny grabbed my attention because the last number in the date is missing, is very faint or has been scratched out. Since it is a WAM and at the right angle, I might be seeing a one; I am leaning towards a 1991.
The "IN GOD WE TRUST" appears to have a weak strike or scratched out.
The same for the "L" in liberty.
At first I thought it might be damaged, but the scratches don't seem to extend to the rim and the scratches on the obverse are at different direction compared to the reverse.

Possibly over polished?

What do you think?
Let me know if more pictures are necessary.
(I tried to vary the light in the photos to show the marks and the color)
I would appreciate your views and comments.

the missing devices on the obverse are probably due to a Grease Filled Die
but the reverse, sure looks like extreme Feeder Finger Damage.
Also noted is a lot of split plating on the reverse.

To me, it looks like multiple details were struck lightly due to grease in the die. I agree that the last digit of the date is most likely a number 1.

Note the reverse devices. That ONE CENT area is showing DDD on those devices. Not a DDO or DDR. The field scratches are from an over polished die issue. The missing devices are from Grease Fill on this coin. So this coin is an educational piece to show to a new collector that has move than one die vent noticed on the coin and the Struck Through Grease area as well. No Feeder Finger die scratches that I can tell. If it were a FFD issue, it would look like this, but this looks more like a post rescue of a die that had mild FFD issues and then polished. Save an an educational piece to show to a new collector. (A show and tell item) Not a premium for this coin though.
