This is a rare event in the Washington series. The reverse die has been heavily over polished, most notable on the eagles right wing. There is another clash present. Really cool coin imo. Thanks for looking!

Very nice find. I agree, lots of die polishing to remove that clash. Looks like they didn't erase all of either..

This it is a very rare kind of coin in the quarter series 1932 - 1964. It is Type B so it is an proof coin. Hat down for this pic-up on e-bay where the photos are in general worst.

there were no S mint marked proofs in 1941
