Here's a 1999 Lincoln one cent that has something strange going on with the "L" in liberty. I don't know if it's a plating error or what. If so, I still don't know why it would have done this. Also, curious to know if this is something worth keeping. Hoping some trained eyes can help me out.

What about the extra blob on the vertical part of the "L"? And is it worth keeping in anyone's opinion?

Looks like a gouge to me, the metal was pushed to the right exposing the zinc and pushing up the ridge of plating onto the L.

The blob on the "L" is part of the "L". Its not just laying on top of it.

What about the gray coloring around the other letters?

Post mint damage. Gouge and zinc got exposed. Looks like the B was also hit and slightly flattened in one area.
