Poll Question
Having scrolled through the United United States Mint's website this morning, I see that the 2024 Peace and Morgans will return again. While I've read the numerous posts since 2021 on the subject, and despite being a commemorative issue (NCTL), I'd like to conduct to get a sense of the matter from a collector point of view. Keep in mind, how do you see these. Thanks in advance!

I voted for "Continuation to the series."
I recognize the commemorative nature of the two coins, as does Congress and the Treasury Department/US Mint, but none of those Federal institutions consider them within the formal US commemorative coin series - a read through of the Public Law authorizing the coins should make that clear.
The Law does state, however:
These iconic silver dollars with vastly different representations of Lady Liberty and the American Eagle, reflect a changing of the guard in 1921 in the United States and therefore on the 100th anniversary must begin to be minted again to commemorate this significant evolution of American freedom.
To me, this strongly suggests that Congress, etc. considers them a continuation of the original series, albeit in a non-circulating version.

Morgan and Peace are to me like the 50 cent piece, or Sacagawea or innovation dollars, legal tender that doesn't circulate or NCLT like ASE and Maple Leafs and Proof Coins.

 - NCLT but technically continuing the series. There are many comparable examples outside the USA - British sovereigns, Dutch ducats... arguably even the Austrian Maria Theresa thalers, though of course those don't change the date!

Your poll does not provide an option for my choice: Ho-hum, I don't care one bit about these and would never notice if they simply disappeared.

They already have a one ounce silver product. It has been ongoing since 1986. The Morgan and Peace dollar are an odd asw commemorative coin . The American Eagle products are iconic and make sense to be the standard bearer.

Personally I view them as a continuation of their respected series. But, as there was no commemorative dollars issued in 2023 I have added the proof Morgan and Peace dollars to my commemorative set to keep the years current. Additionally I have applied some of the moderns Morgan's to my date set. 2021, 2023 reside in their new page added to the Danisco album and I have upgraded the Denver and SanFrancisco coins to show the reverse mint marks. a new page also has been added to my Peace dollar album.

They are not commemoratives - read the legislation. Commemoratives are limited to two per year. These coins commemorate the 1921 Morgan and Peace dollars. Yeah. Both answers

I could not vote, because to me, they are neither. "Commemoratives" have a narrow definition in US coinage, and these coins do not fit that definition, as noted by others above. The 2023 coins, in particular, do not "commemorate" anything, as 2023 is not a significant anniversary-date in either the Morgan or Peace series. To be a "continuation of the series", it would require re-usage of the same dies. These are made form entirely new, created-from-scratch dies. As such, they are more like "restrikes" or "novodels" - coins made in the modern day that are replicating classic coinage designs - rather than a direct continuation.

They're getting to be High Mintage junk at this point and the US mint is coining so many that they really aren't that collectable with the exception of the 2021's.
