The seller's images were pretty awful and this looked like an off center on a split planchet. But it's 3.03 grams and doesn't seem split at all. Some kind of texture on the copper roll, which I think I have seen before but can't put a name on.

I like it. Arnt those lines called roller lines?
I like how it shows the lines disappearing with the strike of the dies and makes me wonder why I see copper plated cents with lines on them after the strike?

I agree with John1 about roller lines. Although I'll add the ones for this coin were probably poorly maintained, with debris creating the uneven texture.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

yes, the texture would be roller lines as John1 above mentioned..

There have been at least three other full-weight, off-center cents struck on striated planchets. Two were 1952-D (see photos). At least one belongs to Tropicalbats. I saw another in a Heritage auction but can't remember the date.
