I was going through pennies that my dad bought for copper content 40 years ago. Pulled the 1982 Zinc and copper small dates and separated them and then I said OMG.  Idk if I uploaded picture correctly *** Moved by Staff moved to a more appropriate forum. *** |

Picture of Obverse is out of focus.. can't tell for sure it is a D, or even a small date.
Try posting legible picture of Obverse of your coin.

Agree, need better large in focused pic of the obverse. If true, that is an incredible find!

No worries, it's one of those coins where you gotta check every one of them. I have had more than one false alarms on a 1982-D LMC. |

Here's a comparison with a real 82-D small date copper (I think only 2 have been found so far)   Even though the OP's picture is blurry it seems the tail of the 2 is close to the rim. Anybody else agree? |

Champ785 - can you please post a better image (not on the scale any more) just the coin in proper focus and cropped for us? |
