This one wasn't a pick but won it for just $6.50 at auction correctly labeled as S/S. Came in today and while it's a gimme for MS66, this actually has a shot at 67 as it's really nice. It'll head off to ANACS, as a 67 would be a grade bump for this one in my collection. The DDO is a fairly minor class VI, and while the RPM looks strong in the macro image it's actually pretty hard to see and doesn't leap out at you in hand until you rotate the coin just right. 1940-S/S Lincoln Wheat cent doubled die - DDO-001, RPM-001

Great coin! Strong strike, good die state, a showpiece coin for sure.

Wow, that's a really sharp Wheat cent. The separation on the mint mark shows really well. Good luck with the grading!

Thanks folks for a super supportive comments! Been spending way too much time photographing error coins for ebay stuff and just not enough time to do much posting here. But a couple of the coins I've been getting in lately are pretty nice, and hopefully get a chance to put up a couple more.

That's One Sweet Lincoln Wheat cent.... Seeing Your Crisp pictures Reminds Me of Days Gone Bye Coinage Like This. In Your Picture of the Blown-up 1940-S Date, You can Clearly see How the Metal Flowed around the date.... Not seen in Modern Coinage....... Also LOVE the Reverse Die Crack/Break on the O in Cent Too..... Thanks For Sharing . MD Ps, Do you know off hand, the Highest Grade for THIS Date with the TPG's?

PCGS has 322 at MS67, 56 at 67+ and 6 at 68. The last 68 to sell went for $9,600 back in 2018. It a year with a lot of higher grade coins for whatever reason.
