Nice steps and photos! Muted luster may limit this to MS-63FS.

Quote: Muted luster may limit this to MS-63FS. I usually don't put MS66 on my 2x2's unless I am confident. I had this one pegged for a gem. The muted luster issue didn't cross my mind but it makes perfect sense. I love luster, don't get me wrong, but clean sharp strikes are so hard to come by. That being said, I think I may have to knock this one down off the gem pedestal

I'm at MS65FS. Nice coin. True gem War Nickels are flashy bright white and I just don't see that level of luster on this example, unless the photograph is misleading my eye.

nice 44D. well struck. luster is a little subdued. that 6th step is really close with just some weakness above the C. the coin needs acetoned to remove the PVC residuals it has a good shot at MS65FS due to strike Quote: What's the green stuff on the coin? this is from improper storage in a holder that contained PVC's

MS-65FS. The green tinge is a concern though.

Quote: The green tinge is a concern though. No worries everyone! Sorry, I have been away from my computer all day. The green ting is actually a reflection of the teal chair I was sitting on when I took the picture. The coin is clean Thank you all for all the comments and feedback!

Ha! After I posted a bunch of pictures on my little ebay store, I noticed a pink glow on many coins. Most of them were quite reflective. I eventually realized that the light was reflecting off my arm and through the top of the photo box whenever I reached over it to tap the photo button.
