This 1983-P Jefferson nickel shows a nice bold Cud at the K-1 position and a pair of die cracks at the K-5 position that would later become CU-5c-1983P-13. This area with the initials FS (for Felix Schlag) would later break off of the die and form a double Cud coin.
The coin shows significant weakness on the opposite side with the letters ES OF AM not being fully struck, along with the missing rim section.
I'm watching one with the same Cud at K-1 on ebay that's listed for another 4 days. It doesn't have the die cracks at the bottom. I want to get an idea of what it's worth. Current bid is $32 with free shipping, OH, you also get an unstruck nickel planchet to boot.

Nice one! 1983-P was a popular date for Cuds, with no fewer than 20 examples listed for nickels on Cuds on Coins. Many decades ago, this was my first Cud find in the wild — nice, but not nearly as nice as Yoko's.
