Yes, this is going to sting. It will feel even worse in ten years.

Yup! The price is a killer, and I bet these will re-sell for melt in a few years like the bicenentennial sets have.

I'm in for 2 sets despite the premium. Will break out one for my binders and keep one intact for posterity.

I really like most of these designs. Love my US silver! Wish the penny were bronze, not zinc, though! And I can always live without the manganese alloy dollar coins. Never did like them at all. Oh, well.

The big question is what will melt be then?

The Mercury dime and medal set I bought 2 days ago limited me of getting just 1 of these silver proof set.
I wonder why the mintage limit on the Mint website has it at 250,520, why the odd figure?

Earlier I posted that I thought it said 250,250; which would track. But I misread it. Perhaps someone in the back office mistyped it.

As Semiquincentennials go,

Our History Building, Defending, and Establishing America, This set represents all that and more for collectors that even have Not collected these Silver Proof sets before, Historically speaking.

I think these sets in the OGP'g will hold their value, Probably Climb Too.

Why this set has Not more Classic metals in the Lincoln Cent, Maybe as mentioned a Brass or Bronze Dollar, Those would of helped make this set more attractive to Some Too.

This set has some Once in Our lifetime released coins, I am very looking forward to holding them in Hand, Best wishes All who seek..

I'm excited for this set because it includes the bulk of the coins I wanted this year.

I moved a lot of coins around in my favorite album so all the Centennial coins are the first thing I see in that album and that page has been mostly empty for a while, mocking me every time I open it.

After this, all I'll be waiting for are the Enh UC Silver Eagle and the Peace and Morgan dollars but they have a smaller impact on my collection.
