Hello Coin Community: I'll like to get any information on a 2010 D Penny. It's Brown in color but it's in decent good shape. It does have a unique Concave Shape like a Mini Bowl. It doesn't show any sign of being smack/strike forcefully into that shape. In this picture both coins are 2010 D, you can see the difference. The only knowledge I have is that in 2014 there was a 2014 Baseball Hall of Fame Commemorative Silver Dollar made in that shape and it has a Baseball Glove and Ball that makes perfect sense with the Concave Shape. I have lots of pictures but I'm not good at uploading them. Hope this one helps. The back has the same shape in reverse. Thanks for any information.

@pr, first welcome to CCF. Second, while you may not be able to see evidence of mechanical damage, I don't see any other way that a coin that left the mint flat like all the others could end up this way. Perhaps someone was having fun with a dapping cube. Could you please add overall pics of the front and back to this thread as that might help? Thx.

I suspect post-strike damage--possibly intentional. Is interesting.

looks like a heat stressed cent. Zinc is a soft metal and if it sits in the sun for a long time the center will sag down (Gravity and all that)
I found lots of darkened zinc coins outside that look like this.

To VF CCF! Could be a heat damaged cent. A full obverse and reverse pictures would tell us more about your coin.
Errers and Varietys.
